Piran urbanisation started in 7th Century and from that reason historical centre is not adopted for cars. Municipality is doing its best to make parking possible, but very few inhabitants can park in Piran. For visitors and most inhabitants as well, parking is provided at the entrance of Piran.

Parking house Fornače is located at the entrance of Piran and costs 12 EUR per day or 60 EUR per week. Its capacity is 845 cars. Distance from Park House to our apartment is about 600m of nice coastal walk. As alternative there is also free bus - exit from park house in the ground floor is recommended.

Second option is free parking area at the Portorož Marina, its gravel parking area is having access to the Minibus stop at Lucija Bus station. Distance to Piran from Portorož Marina parking area is 4 kilometres.

Minibus is preferable mean of transport in Piran area, as besides those two parking areas, other parking options are more expensive and chances of getting parking space are not high. One ride costs 0,40 EUR and service is very frequent and effective.
